I wanted to start a thread for both Kentucky and Southern Indiana. There appears to be quite a LARGE group of poultry "fanciers" in this region and would like for us to have a general centralized thread available.

Milton/Trimble Co Park is hosting a Animal Swap Meet August 30th and 31st. AUGUST 30th is the DAY TO BE THERE!!!!!!! When I was there in the Spring I had to be held back by my better half on buying everything there!!!!! You name it, it was for sale, from all types of poultry, cages, supplies...

The rain has been delaying any work on this.... But had two days of great weather so yesterday i got the post in the ground and today we got everything else done but putting in the windows and the metal on the side. Still got alot of work to do on the coop (16x12),no cracks and putting hardware...

I contacted my local "environment friendly" company (purchasing mulch, etc in bulk). They tell me they only have cedar shavings and its in bags....I saw in another post that cedar is a no no....Any ideas where i can look? Really would hate to go to the pet shop and buy 25 lb bags of pine...
