    Scaly leg mite treatments

Hi, my chicken has developed scaly leg mites. We treated her a few weeks ago with Vaseline but not sure if it’s worked. Are there any alternative treatments? She’s a bantam so it’s a bit tricky to get the Vaseline into her legs without smearing it all over her feathery feet. :(

    Fowl Pox

Hi, some of our flock seem to have developed fowl pox. Has anybody had fowl pox in their flock? Is it worth vaccinating a bird who doesn’t have it in our flock? (Ours is a flock of three, 2 might have it but one seems healthy.)

THE RATS ARE EATING MY CHICKEN FOOD!

Hi. About half a year ago, I purchased a "rat-proof" treadle chicken feeder. unfortunately, the rats have learnt to open the feeder by just pushing the lid up with their noses. Because of this convenient source of food, the rats are constantly raiding our coop. I have been researching pest-proof...

One of my girls has developed a black blob on her comb!! What is it??

Hi I have two chooks (Pekin bantams). One of them is usually at the top of the food chain, normally bossing the other one around and stealing food, but lately she seems to be feeling out of sorts, has less appetite, and isn’t her usual bossy self. I have noticed a small black blob on her comb-...
