I am in a similar position, I was thinking that I would not seperate the hen and hopefully chicks, my worry is the design of the coop, it’s one of those where the house part is up high on stilts with a ramp up ? Is this going to work

Thanks for all the advice. I took one pile of eggs away this morning when the hen came out for breakfast, also cut down the other pile to 8 and marked them, she has sat most of the day, and wasn’t bothered when I removed 2 newly laid ones from near her. Will see how she does from now!
