A few years back i had a job working in a freezer where the temp was always about -15. Anyways i took the flu shot at work and got such a high fever i ended up taking my freezer suit almost off because i was so hot. I had a long miserable night that night. Needless to say, i haven't taken it since.

I have always been in the habit of leaving their food and water out in the coop at night, but I have always wondered why. They don't eat at night and it would just be an attractant for rodents. Does anybody put their food away at night?

Thanks for the reminder, I have been very lazy with our birds lately. Oftentimes not closing up the coop until I get home from work. Our dog is chained up right next to the coop which helps, but I will def. change my ways!

Thats what I was thinking. I have tons of plastic wire ties. Would that height also work well to keep rodents out of the run? So far I have had no problems but fall is coming!

What would be the best way to attach hardware cloth to a chicken run made out of dog kennel fencing? High high should I go with it also? Thanks.
