Today my rooster decided to challenge another rooster and end the end he lost his eye. He's in some extreme pain. I gave him some baby aspirin but I don't know what else to do. Any advise on what to do now?
It looks like the gold sac wasn't completely absorbed. I think it should be fine as long as you don't stick the baby in a brooder. It would need to either be wrapped in a damp warm towel or a clean warm space.
I would do a safety hole is you feel it's needed on the ones that haven't externally pipped yet. The ones that externally pipped already should be fine. Have any hatched yet?
yeah I'm going to chuck the incubator. We are using a homemade one at the moment. It seems to be much better. I am still hatching a couple more batches of chickens for friend so I hope it works properly
