    I have had mine outside for 2 weeks, they are 5 weeks tomorrow. I think yours should be fine to head out! I sometimes have a heat lamp on them if it’s chilly in the coop, but for the most part they are fine:)

    Is silicon harmful to chickens?

    I want to use one big Poland spring jug and the horizontal nipples to water my hens. I made a trial one with a plastic peanut butter container and it leaked like crazy. If I put silicon DAP around the hole I drill for the nipples, can it harm my hens?

    Thank you both! When should I get rid of him? We can’t have roosters. I would like to keep him around for as long as possible because he is pretty friendly. However, if taking him away will mess with the pecking order, is it better to do this sooner than later?

    Hey all! I just put my 9 four-week-old chicks outside for the night. I have 2 heat lamps outside, do you think they will be warm enough? Any tips to keep them warmer? It should be about 40 degrees tonight and then 60 during the day.
