The wing feathers of one of my 3 week old Columbian Wyandottes are about half the size of the others. These are all supposed to be females. Any ideas what's going on here?
One of my Columbian Wyandotte babies is developing what looks like a standard single comb. All the other babies aren't showing much of anything, which seems normal for a rose comb. In every other way she looks like the other Columbians. Any ideas what may have happened with her?
One of my 8 week old RIR hens has the dropsies. She's a bit smaller than the others, but she's eating & drinking OK. We got these babies at 3 days old & this one is always either resting or sleeping. I've seen her run, jump & play & doesn't appear to be in pain. She just spends most of her...
My day-old Wyandottes arrived from Meyer this morning (they just hatched yesterday!). Our neighbor is going to sign for them & I get to meet them when I get home tonight. I'm so excited! If I can get my computer to work, I will post pics later.

I'm a first timer w/ 6 RIR chicks, 6 weeks old. Got them for the eggs, ended up w/ 4 cockerels & 2 pullets (nice!). I love my babies & don't want to give any of them away. Is there any chance these guys can live together or am I asking for trouble? Will the roosters need to be separated...
Any thoughts on how to befriend my 5 week old baby? I know these guys can be agressive & I'd like to see if I can soften him up a little while he's still young. He's very curious & comes to greet me when I walk up, but shies away if I try to pet him. Thanks!
Hey everybody! I just joined today & I'm very happy to be here. I have 6, 4 week old RIR's & I'm not sure of their sex yet (the only one I'm sure of is "Big Mama" & I've just figured out she's really "Uncle Sam"). We already want to add to our flock & I wondered if anyone knew how my reds...
