    Eye irritation vs infection

While prepping a bird for show Wednesday I may have gotten vetRx in her eye because by the time I got her to show site that evening her eye was red, kinda watery, irritated looking and she was kind of "winky" with it. I am sure it wasn't like that before, but may have got a scratch with pine...

    Roo hernia??

Hi all. Found what I would call a hernia yesterday on my BO roo. It is a bulging spot just belo and to the right of his vent. It is soft and squishy. You can depress it in and it just kind of slowly fills back up and pokes back out. Doesn't seem to be tender or both him. The skin around it...

The coop will be made of an old shed I'm taking apart to the frame and refinishing the outside. Now, what my question is if I separate the coop and run into the 3 sections with...

    re-treatment of splay leg?

Ok I have a chick that is about 1.5 weeks old. It was born with curled toes and somewhat splayed legs, not completely straddled though as some pictures show, but the left was worse thatn the right. So I did the banaids on the legs for the splay legs and taped his feet and made him "snowshoes"...

What do I do in this situation???

OK, first let me preface this by saying: #1 - I was not crazy about this idea in the first place. Not sure about risk of disease spread, but figured it was less risky than with grown birds. #2 - this kid is a good kid with horrible, worthless, verbally abusive parents and stands a reasonable...

    Are Banty Faverolles for me??!!

I am planning to get a banty breed (hopefully soon). I am considering the bantam faverolle. They are absolutely gorgeous and by what I've read have great personalities. I would be interested in a show quality so that my kids can help with them. My oldest is 8 and does a great job but my trio...
