hi i use the adams flea and tick spray works really good for mites and i also use the seven dust in their dusting hole both of these keeps the mites, lice and even fleas away i use these all the time

yah you could do that but i think would be better would just be some regular wood shavings or like sawdust that is what i use when i have baby chicks and ducks
