    Poultry lice

    Discovered last week that my flock has a rather nasty infestation of lice. We set up de and permethryn baths. Put de in the area where they normally dust bath. Treated the birds, coop, and nesting boxes with the permethryn. The lice are still alive!! What else can I do?

    Preemie with leg issues

    This is Miracle. Yesterday I found her laying on the ground after one of my adult chickens pecked at her egg. She was ice cold but still breathing. I put her in the incubator and prayed. This morning she appears to be healthy other than her legs. They are straight out behind her.

    Now what?

    I had 3 chicken eggs on day 24. Thinking they were dead I started opening them. 2 were under developed and dead. This silkie is alive. What should I do to help it survive?

    Past due...

    I have 3 chicken eggs in my incubator that are on day 24. 1 is a silkie and the other 2 are mixed breed full size. Each time we have candle them it looks as though they have grown. At what point do I give up on them?

    I believe that my chickens have mites. No poopy butt but I'm noticing many are missing chest feathers. My problem is a I can't find anywhere what ratio of permethrin I should use on my chickens. I have the permethrin10 liquid. Do I just put a couple drops on my birds or do I dilute it?
