I am going to be 18 in just a few short weeks here, and I have encountered a small problem...
I have patiently waited to get my liscense until my 18th so I wouldnt have to pay in money and time for drivers-ed. thats how it works here in Ohio anyways...now the thing is I dont have a vehicle yet...
My first thought when reading this was that its probably bumblefoot....but after I finished reading I dont understand how her foot could still be like that usually with bumblefoot you can see a scab on the sole of the foot. if you cant see any obvious injury on the outside, must be something...
it rains a lot here too and my bantams almost always get soaked, even though i have a huge picnic umbrella in their coop to stay under! they are quite tough; unless its like 40 degrees dont worry they will be dry and happy when they can
around here (Ohio) we just call them minnows; very small fish that make excellent feeders for larger pond breeds, etc. we have them in our rivers, ponds, lakes, creeks, everywhere! if they get larger than 3 inches long they are probably bass or carp.
as long as the pigs werent in it. ive been covered in poo before it washes off juuuust fine though stinky

if they are just on plain feed you most definately have a...
yeah, i wondered the same thing lol but thats the pic that showed up on the e-how page with a description about the parasite..... no idea. all i know is that if i ever find one on a just hatched chick i am going to need some serious therapy afterwords...
id guess splash/buff polish.... maybe mixed breeds? and oooooh yes hens can most definately grow spurs! especially certain bantams and polish hens! the buff one is definately a hen.
nice mix looks like you have a few EEs too; cool
You should ask if the awful thing looked like this:

this is a type of roundworm which lives in the internal tracts of chickens if the chickens contract it from earthworms they have eaten. maybe one somehow survived in the oviduct of the hen that layed the egg and fed off the chick to...
