    my teacup was recovering well from what was either a stroke or head/neck injury...learned to walk and feed herself independently, then yesterday morning when I got up she was limping and her head was turned to the left... I noticed a boney area just above her crop... like where the collarbone...

    some things I want to add.... teacup and all the chicks recieve medicated chick feed, water with electrolyte, vitamin, mineral suppliment.. she has been in a large plastic crate with towels covering the bottom, and paper towels on top of the towels for easy cleaning...she has always had normal...

    I am new to chickens but have had my spoiled rotten 10 year old umbrella cockatoo for 4 years..I adopted him from a bird rescue, and have loved every minute that i have had him.. He is truly a part of my family.... We added 24 RIRs on march 19th... lost one and one other is a special needs...

    Good luck with your search for a cockatiel, but my suggestion to you is ADOPT.... from a bird rescue... there are many many homeless birds in shelters that make wonderful pets!
