Have a rooster about 8 months old. Been pretty mellow up to now. He has become very protective of the 8 hens and recently starting lunging at us. It may be a stage not sure but we have grandkids that visit and do not want to take a chance with him.

5 of 8 laying now, they were born middle May. All different colors. Hopefully the other 3 get started soon.

First time chicken owner. We finally moved to place where we can have them. Located a spot and built coop. Got 9 baby’s to start, no idea the breed. They are now 3.5 months old and continue to entertain us everyday. We did end up with 1 rooster but so far so good. Here are a few pictures.
