Unfortionatly the twins didn't make it but I did get one baby and thought she would be lonely so we got 2 freinds from the local feed store and they are doing great together now 🙂 the 2 freindsaren't much older then her maybe 3days or so 🙂
Thanks again everyone 😁Just wondering does anyone know how long they typically wiggle befor pipping ? 2 of them have been wiggling for just under 48hrs ,is this normal?
Thankyou ,I'm hoping they hatch I noticed the "twin egg"started wiggling yesterday as well ,I didn't expect that egg to even make it this far ,I am shocked, but understand low twin hatch rate 🙂🤞I put them into lockdown yesterday when i noticed all 3 wiggling, one of them has turned completely...
Your welcome, I am currently incubating shipped eggs as well ,I always candle shipped eggs befor setting them to check for detached or ruptured aircells u can tell by loose air bubbles or the aircell in the fat part of them eggs looks loose and wiggles around as the eggs are moved ,I read that...
🐣🙂Hello ,I have 3 khaki campbell duck eggs incubating on day 23, 1 egg looks like it may be twins, appears to have two slightly smaller embryos inside and two air cells iv seen twins Start befor but never make it this far can't wait to see what happens unfortionatly I wasn't able to get any...
I wouldn't toss any yet as they are only on day 4 u won't be able to see much development yet, it's best to wait until day 7 befor tossing any,are they ordered or from your flock? The weak shell might be ok as long as it's not cracked . Good luck I hope u have a good hatch 🤞🐣🙂
I would definitely give them another couple days ,being that the first to pip was premature the others are most likely still absorbing blood veins and yolk and should start to hatch soon ,if your incubator temp was a bit low it can make them take a bit longer to hatch out ,good luck 🙂
When I was cleaning my brooder of older chicks ,I placed the chicks in a large box temporarily to clean out the brooder ,once I finished and placed them back in the brooder and noticed one of them made a very watery slightly bloody poop? I am very concerned and do not know what this could be or...
Not yet ,too soon to tell ,typically I can guess based on wings at 2days old but I haven't tried to gender it yet as It has a funky wing I don't want to hurt it,as the chick grows the wing looks more normal and relaxed but is still hanging a little differently, might just have to wait .
I'm not sure but I think it might be a roo it's smaller and has shorter wings ,however one wing might be a lil deformed but the chick moves it fine and doesn't seem to be in any pain I will just have wait n find out as it grows 🙂
I ended up.leaving it alone and it all fell off without having to trim any of it and the chick now named Darwin has graduated to being with its siblings 24/7 after about a week of monitored time with them ,there are no problems they are all healthy and happy together finally 😀
