So I’m so sorry if that’s frustrating but I would love to understand more! Just because I truly love this bird. I don’t understand the pattern difference cause I feel like he has a pattern.
I absolutely hate to admit this, and I feel so dumb, but I honestly still don’t understand what I’m looking. Like I can definitely see the tail feathers, but the pattern part throws me for a loop.
There really hasn’t been much difference in his comb and wattles in the past month. I took the below photos on May 8th. At least I feel like it hasn’t changed much but I’m not an expert.
We noticed it last month on May 8th. But no crowing, very gentile and loves cuddles… not hostile or aggressive with any of my other chickens… just not typical roo behavior so I’m completely confused haha

Also I am feeding them Purina Layena pellets, and just started giving them oyster shells yesterday. Never knew that was a thing til I read someone else’s forumz
She is today but she’s doing more dirt baths than I’ve seen her so. I noticed her first eggs on Tuesday of last week and there were two in there. So I think she may have started on Monday… and she is drinking, eating and foraging, but she was sitting in a little hole she made in the ground...
