I check in the morning, she always lays during the day and makes her way to their house, the other one just stays in the yard. We collect the egg when she comes out :)

No, they have only an incubator and it’s a group of young men. I asked what chick it is and he claimed it’s a silkie but obviously it’s not. I took her anyway because mine needs a friend but would be nice to know what breed it is or if just a “normal” chicken :)

He didn’t make it. :( I opened the egg and the chick was fully formed and perfect, almost entire yolk had been absorbed but for some reason he didn’t make it out.

Sadly he didn’t make it :/ I came home and there was no progress so I made a little air hole, candled - no movement, waited couple of hours, candeld - no movement. I opened the egg and he looked perfectly formed but was no longer alive :(
