I have three Buff orphingtons and two EE. They have been laying for about a month now and I have heard nothing from them. I have watched a couple of my BO's and one of my EE's while them lay their egg and still nothing. A little dissapointed.
:rolleyes:We got a couple inches here this morning and my girls were hollering and carrying on wanting out so I finally let them out expecting them to turn around and go right back in. That was at ten this morning. They are still out and it is still snowing. Crazy Girls!
Finally one of my BO's has blessed us with two eggs in as many days. Now hopefully the others will take the hint. I don't remember how old they are. I gave up and was hoping for the best.
Still waiting myslef. I have three BO's and 2 EE's. The past few days they have been hanging out in the coop and digging up both sides of the coop.(deep layer method) Mine are all 26 weeks. No other signes of laying though.
Be patient. Their instincts will kick in. Mine are now 22 and 25 weeks old and it took a few weeks for them to learn. I put them up on the stick a few times and then just left it up to them. They eventually took to it.

After six months of research and countless hours of scrounging for scraps of wood and having to buy a few along the way I have finally completed my coop and run (99% anyway). All to my wifes constant question of: "Are we really getting chickens?!" Any who, let me know what you think...
