Took me a couple of days but I finally cracked an egg. All of this girls eggs have this spot. And she is the roosters favorite girl, she's the only one who has had fertilized eggs too (thus far anyway)

I'm not sure. The man said they were 4 months old three weeks ago but i think they may have been younger than that. esp the way they have grown since we got them.

Love it! For roosting boxes check your local freecycle or craigslist for free items. I've seen pallets for free to pick up, they make for good wood. Right now we are using old pet taxies, the hens love em. If you want to spend some money I've hear that the plastic crates at walmart work good...
