Nice eggs! Are those all glossies?
I sure hope to get glossies, but I don't know what my pullets are going to lay and my rooster came from about a 50/50 mix of glossies and matties.
a refrigerated egg can most certainly be hatched, but that's kind of off on a tangent.
If you want to do a Google Image Search for "fertilized egg", you'll see that there's nothing gross to worry about.

Oh, yes. It didn't occur to me, but White Plymouth Rock is a definite possibility. As monkeyingaroundfarm posted, the earlobes will tell you.
They do look much heavier than my White Leghorns did at that age. Mine looked very gamebirdy for a long time. The Rocks are a much heavier...

This is going to be eggciting! I feel like I should carry around a notebook to jot down all the questions that will pop into my head throughout the day.
Yeah I've never heard of the blonde in the hackles having anything to do with the blue gene. It doesn't compute for me. But "irregardless", those Hulk Hogan manes needs to go.
edit:
I'm not a total SOP-geek myself, but that comb, that copper color, that lack of blonde in the hackles, the black breast, the pearly legs...that's one hot rooster. My own boy looks similar, but has an extra point on his comb and ashy legs.
Well I know I just said it in the other thread too, but it's worthy of repeating, that BCM rooster of Josh's is one of the finest specimens I've ever seen. Certainly in the top 5 for me.
White Leghorns. In another 10 weeks, give or take a couple, they'll start giving you white eggs.
Outstanding birds when given enough space to feel secure, but a bit nervous and flighty in close quarters.
