Well my dad and I finished the coop enough to move our chicks in the coop! It's beyond hot in Texas, and we figured they would be a lot happier in the coop than our make shift brooder in the shop... Now I know when you move chicks in you want to keep them locked up for a week or so to get them...

Not sure what is best for their run like sand, dirt, grass, ect... They will be loose in the yard when we are home to keep an eye on them. But will be kept in the run during the day when we are not home. Just wanted to get some ideas so the girls will be content. Thanks!

I have two cats and I haven't let them out of the house without me being outside. By dog just annoys me now because as soon as she leaves the house she goes to the shop door and just whines... They are still skittish when I come around but they make me laugh the way they run around!
