I think I may have decided on a door design. I am going to see if I can find a larger zipper, staple one side to the shelf and sew the other side to some hardware cloth or screen of some sort and have a zipper door...

I was thinking maybe Plexiglas sliding doors, then cut out vents on the sides/back, or use hardware cloth. I haven't really decided yet lol.

We have a shop vac, I plan on putting vinyl or coroplast on the bottom and Ill put bedding down on top of it, when its time for cleaning I'll pull the birds out and just vac it out and wipe it down. the only thing im wondering about is the door. I'll probably do hardware cloth...

It's a hovabator, I use it for my bearded dragon eggs so I figured it would work good for this too also we've had another hatch, its got red eyes : )
