Sorry, just seeing this post. I should have enough to ship on Tuesday. (Monday is a holiday) If you are interested please email me at [email protected]. BYC isn't great at sending me notifications. Thanks
Bottom of the bottom piece comes detached very easily and therefore dumps ALL the food everywhere. Be very careful when screwing the jar on. Waterer version of this comes off jar very easily...also making a big mess. If you keep this in mind when using the product then they are fine. Just be...
I did not realize it had been so long since my last visit. I blame the new BYC system. It doesn't notify me of anything even tho I have it marked to. Well our power is out due to a snow storm so perfect time to catch up on reading.... From my phone. I just can't bare to be out with my chickens...
I hatched a hen from the same cross. She looks just like Delilah. Her name is Zinnia. Every time I see her it kinda breaks my heart. She is beautiful....almost as much as Delilah.
Ahhhh. I know this is an older thread but I had to respond. I too am dealing with this. I have a roo that has been gasping for a few days. I thought he was sick or had gape worms but other than the gasping he has no other symptoms. I am giving him breathing treatments and keeping him outside in...
My boy will be 1 year old next month and today I walked up to his run and there he was just standing his huge self on my production red hen. I think I caught him in the act. Lol FINALLY!!!! I am going to hatch some eggs from my standard BR hen and see what I get....until I can find some girls...
My boy was 9 months old. He isn't even breeding yet. Lol. Not used to this slow development. Good thing he is good looking or I think he would be gone. He is so awkwardly huge too. He kinda walks like a duck. :)
Here is an up to date photo of my boy. I showed him in November and he won 1st & BB. My boy is very friendly and social. He is almost a year old and I haven't seen him touch a hen. This slow maturing thing is so new to me. Lol He is such a gentle giant.
I am not an expert on this breed either but I know that with other breeds, some of the faults can molt out. You could pluck the feather and see how it grows back. That's my 2 cents. :)
I am going to mix this guy with a standard but nice looking barred rock hen to see if I can get good barring but also better egg laying. If he ever starts showing interest in girls. :)
Yes, I would love eggs. How much do you charge. Be kind....I am on a chicken budget. Lol! You can PM me if you would like or email me at [email protected]
