    Leghorn looks like rooster?

Hi all, I have a leghorn hen about 2 years old and she has spurs like a rooster! Her comb is large like a rooster...but she does lay eggs! Is this normal for this breed? Just curious about this. Very entertaining.

    Welcome to the world!

This little chick had a long hatch, but is doing quite well. It arrived at 2:45 this morning. What a cutie!

    Twisted beak

I have a hen with a very twisted beak. So far, she is thriving (she's six months old), but I wonder if the deformity will make it difficult for her to eat in the future. I will try to attach a photo so I can get some opinions on what to do for her. Thank you for your help!

    Eggless in New York

So, about a month ago, I moved my crew into their new, larger house. The move went reasonably well, and I think they are enjoying their new space. It only took several trips to the old coop at night to bring that back before they got that this was their new home. Anyway, the biggest problem I...

    Hello from little ol' me!

Just wanted to introduce myself (as a good friend suggested that I should). My husband and I purchased a home in the woods back in 2004. From the moment we decided this would be our home, I had wanted chickens. 18 months ago, when my newborn daughter was only 3 weeks old, we took the...
