Some of my birds lavender and lavender splash

No actually she is Lavender Splash, as we all know genetics don't always follow rules..there's sports and quirks and sometimes they breed true.... after all this is how new colors are created right ? I wasn't really asking for an opinion but thanks for offering it !

and we have a Basque egg in California..I was greeted by it this morning confirming my suspicions that they were getting close..I've had it in my office ever since and i've been staring at it all day :)

Thanks everyone they're about 24 weeks old now, this is what I cut down to from the original 33 I hatched from James's eggs...I think there was about 16 roos inthe beginning and he was about the best all round and has been mating the pullets for a couple of weeks now so I'm thinking very soon...

I am soo waiting for an egg !
