There were some beautiful ATs at the Humboldt show this weekend. I like the subtle colors on most of them. The breeder had several there, very nice little birds
Suzann is a great ambassador for the breed. She seems to makes herself available for anyone that has a question or shows an interest in the oriental breeds. Most of the exhibitors I spoke to this weekend had a story about how Suzann got them started with quality birds or helped them with issues...
There are some great breeders in Texas , I'd suggest you decide on a breed or two and then contact local breeders. You will find that most are very helpful if they find you to be serious about the hobby. The national show is in Oklahoma this year, you should go to the nap site and check it out
Tammy what part of Oregon are you in. There are several good breeders in Oregon . We are in nor cal and raise Frillbacks, taganrog tumblers and valencia Figuritas. Let me know what you are looking for and I will see what I can help you
It is a qualifying meet for the Ko's so there will be 50 or more in the show and im sure there will be several for sale. You should try to make it. I think it is the 25th an 26th. Saturday is usually the best day to look at the birds
Do you remember who you got them from? Most of us that have them know who has what and where they came from.
The PPBA is the Pacific Poultry Breeders Association, they put on a show at Stockton the end of January every year. It is a great group of people, you can find the show info on their web...
Thought i would remind all of the Ko Shamo breeders out there that the PPBA show at Stockton will be a qualifying meet. We need you to enter and show your wheaton Ko's. Entries close on January 6th, the show is on the 25th and 26th. Heather Hayes will be judging. Entry forms are on the PPBA web...
Mark, my first attempt at hatching with the incubator was similar, dont give up. My next three were over 95%. I dont know why as i didnt do any thing different. They are strong chicks after they hatch. When the hens go broody they are great mothers, it took mine a while to set.
I get $25 per bird. If you are ok with one that is a little over size I would sell them for less. Might be able to send them back with a friend after next weeks show in sacramento. I will check and see if he is coming down.
