I just got my babies on Thursday and they have already grown so much! They are doing amazing! But I have to thank everyone here for all the wonderful advice and stories!
Here are some pics from today sorry they are alittle washed out.
I will try to take some better pics of ALL of them...

I was maybe sleeping for 2 hours and then I heard my babies (chicks that is) screaming. I got up thinking something was wrong. Maybe a cat got one or something...
I get to them and they are ALL fine and I ask them what is the matter and they were all quiet! Not a chirp out of them for awhile...
I am so bummed my MIL never made it over today. So no egg was given to her today with the u/s. I am bummed out. i was looking forward to doing it.
Guess she is just going to find out an old boring way...
That we are expecting baby #4 (in MY belly) LOL
DH has been keeping it from her but we are going to tell her tomorrow. I put my last u/s in a plastic egg and Dh is going to give it to her.
This is baby #4 in 5 years. We have a 3.5 year old (4 in Sept), a 2 year old that will be 3 next month...
I just wanted to see if there were many other Boxer owners out there with chicks. I don't know what to expect from my boxers. So far so good but I am afraid of the day it will be time to put the chicks out in their coop or when we will let them walk around freely.
So I just wanted other...
the addiction???
I just bought my babies and I am thinking about the next batch I want to get. My Dh would totally kill me if he knew that I was already thinking about getting more. It took a bit to get him on board with the babies I just got!
Today it was about 90 degrees out. So for a few minutes today I took a baby out with me to just enjoy the beautiful heat. My DH would put the baby about 3 feet away from me and it would hurry back to me. It never failed. We were laughing that that baby know I was Momma. So then I went and got...
So we are on day 3 here and my chicks are not screaming in the middle of the nights anymore? Well, I only have last night that they didn't. They are still talking a lot but the first night every few hours I would have a loud one or two or three. Last night they were perfectly behaved!
Are they...
I will be dying sadly store bought eggs today (next year a different story).
I am sure my kids are going to have fun! We have dye, glitter, stickers the whole shebang!
I am 11 weeks pregnant. Should I be concerned with anything?
the only thing I have ever had concerns with was cat litter and my husband does that duty. So I was just wondering if there was anything with the chickens...
I know these are my "first" babies but I am finding myself taking pictures of them everyday. OK it is only day two but I know tomorrow will be day three and I will take more and more... LOL
My babies will not be able to use a coop for a few weeks but we will be building one this weekend.
How big should a coop be for 6 full grown Black Australorps (hope I spelled that right).
I am at work right now and I can't wait to get home to my baby chicks. I feel like such a worried mother.
I work full time but am able to go home at lunch and check on them. Is 5 hours alone too long? they have eachother but not me to care for them...
I posted on the Me, my chickens, my family but will be posting here a lot I am sure. I am a new proud owner of 6 baby Black Australorp's Chicks.
Last night was our first night and what adventure! I was up every few hours to check on them. I am in love.
Well just wanted to say Hi everyone!
