As other people have suggested, they are probably cold and probably have coccidiosis, in which case you really must treat them with the proper medication as soon as possible, it's a very debilitating infection and may weaken them for the rest of their lives.

Could be coccidiosis. I've read (done a lot of reading on the subject recently as we've second lot of new chickens arrive with it!), that when you stop medicated feed and change to layers, the birds can become infected with cocci. Most medicated feed only reduces the numbers of cocci, so that...

I've just found out that my girls had some "blood" in their poo before we got them (three weeks ago). Not sure if that changes anything. I've asked the person we got then from to check on the health of the other birds raised at the same time. Will let you know what happens......
