Top of my flock is my 12lb B Jersey Giant Olga, she beats the stuffing out of my 10lb BO roo Judges and 13lb B Jersey Giant roo Magristrate. Bottom are my BLRWs Red and Blue (my 3 yr old named them).

I had three BO roosters, two are sweethearts who refuse to be separated (i adore them) and the other is soup.

I am oddly proud of myself for this computer conquering.

Thank you all for your reply. I feel alot better now, knowing that they aren't too overcrowded. I was hoping to add 2 more in the spring. I have no idea how to post pictures:) I keep trying but it doesn't work.

Hello:) I have a 11x24 foot run with a 8x8 coop. Currently we have 4 BOs, 3 Doms and 2 BJG. Is our setup to small for them. What is the right number of chickens for this coop?

The Doms are very similar to BR's in color and shape. I think the colors on the Doms look a little crisper, but that's just me. All three of my Doms were loves from the start and easily learned to jump up on my arm and thigh when I patted them.

All 15 of my hens were doing this also. So, My husband got the clever idea of moving their nesting boxes above eye level. My hens stoppped immediately. When they couldn't see them, they didn't eat them.

This is a tough question. I am a large believer that children should be taught very young that the chickens are not playthings. You can't teach a rooster not to go on instinct but you can teach a child even if if they are very young. I personally have 3 rooster, 2 Buff Orps and a Black Jersey...
