    Need a new thermostat???

Hi again everyone. I have a new "to me" cabinet incubator. I got it up and running, but it seems like it short cycles. Like the element doesn't stay on for more than 10 to 20 seconds. Is this normal? My little giants don't cycle that short. Just wondering if anyone has any advice? I haven't had...

    Kuhl cabinet incubator

Okay so I bought an antique cabinet incubator today. It doesn't have any tags on it, but it looks just like a picture I found of a Kuhl Model # 624. On the front there is an electrical box that has a switch and an indicator light. The light is busted. Does anyone know if this is something I can...

    Not Fertile???

    Injured chick!

Hey everyone. I have a 2 week old chick that got a piece of wood chip stuck under its eye. I tried to pull it out today but I'm afraid I didn't get it all. Is there anything that anyone would suggest to put on it? I don't think it can see out of it's eye so I'm not holding my breath on it...

Any ideas what I'll end up with?

I have a Blue breasted red old english game bantam roo over a Black oegb hen. Any ideas what the chicks may look like? Do you think I will be able to tell them apart from my BB red and Splashes?

    Thermometers

Hi everyone. My question is this. I have three old incubators my grandparents used to use. They each had a mercury thermometer in them. Well I'm getting ready to set some turkey eggs so I thought I'd get one going beforehand. I started it up and put all 3 thermometers in it plus a digital. The...

    Turkey hatching eggs?

If I posted this in the wrong spot I am sorry. My question is I have put off separating my turkeys. So now I don't know how long the eggs will be fertilized by the toms? I think with chickens it is 21 days but not sure? Or if it applies to turkeys too or not? Thanks for any help.
