Our Urban Coop - Cleveland, OH
Thanks for visiting my page with a quick overview of my coop. Let me first start off by saying I build this coop to fit OUR needs and I started off with a very rough draft on paper.... Well, plan are made to be broken and I found myself "winging it" along the...
Also, this is a post i read here at BYC.... This is why i decided to go the antibiotic route in the long run.
My Bumble Foot treatment by Bill Ludwig.
The following is an all out treatment. Mild infections can sometimes heal on there own or with much less bother than the following treatment...
One of our chickens has/had bumblefoot.... I did the surgery and I have to say that I'm not 100% I got everything out. I think i would have needed to cut throught he top of the foot to reach the entire thing in one of the feet so an hour into it i stopped, stepped back, and punted! I ended up...
We have a small light outside of the coop so we can see back threre... No problems at all that i can see. At Target you can buy very small wattage standard bulbs.... like 15w or something like that. Perfect for adding a little light to the area.

Cheap! Should be here nay minute (out for delivery). Shipped fast! treating bumblefoot (FEET!) as well.
I read on another post with BYC they the Pro-Pen G is actually safe - FYI

I think Rosie is actually "Ronnie"..... Anyone know someone in Cleveland area that needs a Columbian Wyandotte Roo? We can't keep a rooster in Cleveland.... It's 9 weeks old.
Here's a video of it trying to crow!
I just went through this all too.. I was going to make plexi-glass windows however that stuff is expensive!
I found windowns that people were throwing away and used them.... FREE!
