Separating ganders creates conflict when they reunite

I had separated my White Sebastopols from my Grays and Buffs in preparation for the breeding season. Our weather has turned so nasty for so long that I can't maintain the extra pen, and after 3 weeks apart, I put the Whites back in with the group until the weather gets better. I have always had...

The difference in curly and smooth breasted Sebastopols

Chicken Obsessed, I worry about the GMO's too. I have tested my geese and ducks by putting organic feed in one dish and GMO feed in another. They always emptied the organic and refused to touch the GMO feed.

The difference in curly and smooth breasted Sebastopols

THANK you for the info about keeping the smooth-breasted in the flock. I have heard several people who insist on only breeding only the curlies. This gander is my newest addition.

Definining Blue, Lavander, Lilac And Cream In Sebastopols.

Oh, I got the term "dimorphic" from a friend who's white Sebbies produce geese that have colored feathers in the white and colored tails. I thought they were Splash but she says they are "dimorphic white". At any rate, one of the white girls I have is one of hers and she has a beige tail and...

Thanks for these, yes maybe he is a Dilute Blue because he is not as dark as these. What color would I breed him to to get blues? I currently have White, Dimorphic White with beige tail feathers and Saddleback. I probably need to find a color that I don't have, right? lol

He's a funny guy anyway, when I got him he had been the one who sat the eggs at his last home so she thought he was female, then at my house he bonded with a White Sebbie gander. I had him DNA tested to be sure, he is a gander so at least I can be sure of that. So maybe he's a dilute Blue? my...

I can find photos of Lilacs, which he looks the closest to, but his color changes so much that I may have to call him a "confetti" LOL!

This boy is much, much, much lighter than a Lavender so if he's that then he's dilute, VERY. The color in the photos IS his color, it's what you see when you look at him except he is not always silvery, often he is beige, much lighter than a Buff of course but definitely beige. It doesn't look...
