These two packing peanut roos have me stumped! Any thoughts? I am planning to grow them out just to see!

Might you have an egg eater on your hands? It almost looks like egg yolk in the first pic.
Ducks molt pretty dramatically. My mallards can no longer fly when they are molting, and they look a mess.
I have a mixed backyard flock of 14, mostly magpies, covered by a magpie drake. None are crested. I have raised them all from ducklings and none have/had even a tiny crest. Yet here this little one is.
I always thought crested was a dominant gene? I am baffled! I sold all the rest of this...
Thank you for your response, Sweetfolly. Still no sign of my dear Kenna, I fear she is gone for good. :(
I know all about the owls being swift & efficient killers, we saw and interrupted one that nabbed one of our guineas. He had a single tiny pinprick through his neck but was dead as a...
I am wondering if anyone else has the problem of their ducks ducking out (pun intended) and going broody in a mystery place?
We live in the midst of some very swampy woods, and let our ducks free-range during the day. I lost my blue swede girl two months ago when she disappeared without a...
A single goose is usually a lonely goose, though there are exceptions, like crazyfarmer stated above me. And my single adult goose, Sushi, lives with my flock of fifteen ducks and watches over them and really seems to love them. That said, I bought her future mate this year because I just...
The weather is warming up and I have started taking Sashimi out a few times a day to meet the adult birds, specifically my adult female goose. It is so adorable, how intrigued and gentle she is, but he is terrified of her. I do think this will change with time (and as he grows).
We spend a lot...
I am, but I swear the poor little thing just had one of those niacin flushes! He was panting like crazy! (My husband gets them occasionally and he says they are just terrible, but only last for about 10-20 minutes.) Shimi seems to be fine now.
It was "slow-release, no flush" niacin, too. Maybe...
He is eating like CRAZY, he has visibly grown, he really just seems to be thriving! This leg/limping issue only just started yesterday afternoon ~ before then, I was feeling really great about his longterm prognosis.
I can definitely get a video for you today!
Hi all,
I wanted to thank you for the advice on my little goslings that would not eat. You all may remember that Wasabi died, but Sashimi is eating (and pooping) really well!
However, now we have a new problem: he walks like a pirate (meaning kind of with a limp, kind of swinging one leg out...
Thank you everyone. I am still crying. Yesterday was a really REALLY hard day. You get so attached to these little babies. I just love geese and I had such high hopes for these little ones.
I will say this: MM's customer service is unrivaled. I waited until 5:00ish to call yesterday to try to...
Sadly I don't! I definitely thought of that, plus I don't want him to grow up alone. I am going to keep looking but for now, there is no one near me (I live in the sticks, on an island) with young baby birds.
I even showed him to my adult goose today, hoping she might take an interest, but she...
Wasabi (the little female) died in my hands at 11:00 this morning. She starved to death, surrounded by food. We buried her out back.
Sashimi, the little gander, is very active and alert. He has always been the stronger one and does not have an umbilical hernia. He will happily eat shredded...
