We have the liquid safe guard dewormer. We want to mix this in the bobwhite quails waterers
I see dosage information for chickens, peafowl and guineas. Since quail are smaller I didn't want to overdose them. How many cc's or ml's per gallon should I use? Also should you do it for 1 or 3 days?
I moved chicks 1-3 to the brooder since no more had hatched all day. Soon after 4 and 5 hatched and #6 is pipping. We'll see what we wake up to in the morning
After the hatch I am considering moving the camera to the brooder if y'all like that idea.
We have chick #1 that hatched this morning before we woke up. Official hatch day is tomorrow so we have an early bird. Be sure to drop by and check out the excitement to come in the next 2 days.

They are due to hatch on Tuesday 5/31/11. Be sure to stop by on Monday just in case we have some early birds:)
Thanks so much for all the replies. I am hoping for the best outcome. I'll be sure to come back and update and hopefully have a bunch of fuzzy butts to share.
Do you save eggs for incubation that have been rained on? Sometimes they have just been lying on the wet ground. Should I throw them out or go ahead and incubate them? They are bobwhite quail eggs. I gather them every evening but when it rains in the middle of the day they get wet.
The rails were popped out of the track and did not turn for the first 4 days of incubation. Out of 100 bobwhite quail eggs I see movement in 44 of them. If they are stuck to the side of the egg would I still see movement? The remaining eggs I see veins but that is all. They were set exactly...
The 1st one has hatched - around 26 hours early. I guess that means more are on the way. We are hatching bobwhite quail. I have been going by the brinsea thermometer in the bator but have had the acu-rite thermometer / humidity gauge in there off and on and it almost always has it at 99...
Did yours always hatch on the correct day - like right on time? Mine are due to hatch tomorrow evening and no sign of hatching yet. We are still about 27 hours away but I am getting nervous.
Wish I knew. I had 2 with curled feet. One was turned under and the other turned in. Neither of them made it. We did get the one with the curled turned inwards toes straight with shoes but for some unknown reason he passed away last night at 6 days old. He was a runt compared to the rest of...
It is like his legs didn't grow correctly along with the curled toes. One leg sticks out in the back and doesn't go under him like the other leg does. If I place him in the brooder he takes that leg and pushes himself around on his tummy. He eats and drinks but I have him in a cup with shelf...
