Thanks for the info Spish. That is a big shame because I really just want hens and don't want to run the risk of having make chicks. Also, I was hoping for hens which are at least 6 months old. I can't find any australorp breeders anywhere unfortunately. Never mind - I'll keep looking! Hazel

How old are they when you get them. I've read that aussies can lay at 5 months old. I'm just a bit worried about raising them (never done that) and then introducing them to our other chooks. Did you say the breeder was in Limburg? H

Thanks for such a quick reply. Definitely don't want a roo though! I don't want to raise my own chicks. We have four hens at the moment. I assume you would have to keep chicks separate from the hens? At the moment, we free range our hens as much as we can but would the chicks have to be kept...

Hi Spish I'm in Luxembourg and am looking for Australorps and Sussex hens. Would it be possible to get the name of the breeder that you know with Australorps? I have no idea where to find them around here and it would be worth the few hours' drive. Thanks very much Hazel
