I have a itty bitty chihuahua mix puppy. She likes to torment my chickens, seems to want to herd them back into their chicken run. Once she gets them there, she is happy to have the yard to herself. She doesnt seem to want to hurt them, just irritate them! One of my girls, doesnt put up with her...

I am a newbie too. We got 5 random breed of chickens in March. 2 are Orpingtons, and the others a are just cute! Anyway, it was really close to 6 months before we got our first egg. Then it took a couple or so more weeks to really get going. We now get 4 or 5 eggs everyday.

I gave a 5 to the ones I would like in MY calendar. And a 1 to the ones I'd rather not have. and then whatever I felt like on the others. It went pretty fast once I got going! BTW, when will we be able to buy a calendar? I dont want to miss out!!! love your website!

I am new at this, but what fun to watch my 5 girls in their new coop and run. Things I have learned so far.....1) Yes, they are messy. Thats why they live outside! 2) They DO have distinct personalities! All of which are cute! 3)They HATE the neighbor cats even looking into their pen! and 4)now...

My girls are Goldie (Hawn), Kate (Hudson), Hoda, Kathie Lee and Oprah. This is my first time raising chickies. They are so cute! No eggs yet, but looking forward to that day! We will celebrate! Love BYC!!!
