    Should I keep my rooster?

I got a Buff Orphington Roo in my last batch of chicks. Trying to decide whether or not to keep him. Can he stay in with the hens? I don't want to raise chicks and collect the eggs everyday. He seems pretty good natured right now, but is still young.

Should I keep what I think is a RIR Roo?

Thanks everyone, I'm pretty sure at this point. Don't know if I'm going to keep him, but might have found someone to take him and not put him in a pot!

Should I keep what I think is a RIR Roo?

"He" is about 6 weeks old now with a comb and feathers that are colored differently than the other "girls". He also seems protective. The "girls" combs haven't even developed yet. Do you think I have a Roo? And why should I keep him if I only wanted pullets for eggs. Not planning to hatch...
