My friend gave me a Light Sussex and "she" was adorable - kept following me around the garden! Although after a month or so, "she" had not layed a single egg, grew too big to fit in the coop and started crowing, so we had to give him back. Shame really - he was stunning.

The first picture you posted looks just like my Welsummer chick that hatched yesterday. I'm no expert, I'm just saying that to me it looks a lot like a Welsummer.
