i just got my first pair of serama bantams and im wondering if they usually go broody or if its rare for them to go broody never had this breed before so i dont know
i just got some serama bantams and im keeping them in a 4 x 4 rabbit cage but im wandring if i can let them loose for a couple hours a day without worrying about them leaving my property i dont have a fence but there is no stray cats around that i have noticed im only planing on letting them out...
i just got into quail and am going to eat a couple of my bobwhites if you dont mind i would love to hear some of your recipes on how to cook them,and im thinking about eating some of their eggs any ideas on how to eat them ?? thanks for any advise
is there anyway to make my bobwhites go broody like make their aviary look more natural or give them more space?i have 6 bobwhite quail 3 males 3 females in a 4' by 6' aviary they dont fight and they get along
Today i saw a mouse in my aviary,will they bite my quail or eat their eggs,is there anything i can put to make the mice go away? I dont want to put pison out there since my pitbulls like to go mouse hunting and i dont want them eating a poisoned one. I heard they dont like spearmint or somthing...
i have 6 bobwhite in a aviary 6' by 4' and its 4' tall how do i tame them so that they will not be afraid of me? 1 of the females gets close like 1 foot away but then it just goes to hide but the others just stay at the opposite end of the aviary,so is there anyway to tame them??
my bobwhites were born on march 8th this year.i live in northern utah will they lay eggs this year or will i have to wait till next year for them to start laying?,i have seen my males mounting the females for the past 2 weeks does that mean they will?
