What have you done to keep your Flocks protected? ie, top on run..electric fence...

We have guineas also, and OMG are they loud and YES, they sound an alarm for anything they see. This is our first flock of guineas and ours are DUMB as rocks. Are they ALL like that, I'm not sure, but ours are.

Ok, so if it IS Mareks, it's very likely the rest of the flock already has it too? Is it too late to vaccinate them now? We have Guineas and Ducks that house together. This is so sad.

Okay thank you soo much, that really helped out a lot. I found out that one of the chickens..the newer one, is laying her eggs in the "dog house", any reason why that would be when she has a perfectly good hen house with a roost and cozy?

I have to agree with putting the dominant one on the roost.
