nope, storing eggs upside down is a good idea if you want to preserve the air inside...
well some say choc x choc lightens it, not seen it myself - not to say it wont happen.
chocs are broody old lumps, so getting lots of chicks is the main thing. watch out for the wing on that girl, and maybe think about a splash to get mauve, etc if you have black problems.

ever the way with splash here too, get them when its a small hatch, or boy heavy. Have a couple of sweet youngsters, but one is looking rather quiet for my liking, wish the weather would warm up here.
not sure on the last one, id say girl like the 1st 2.
enjoy them growing up, esp the 2nd blue, and then figure what you want. just take your time - it soon goes quick when you dont want it to, and slow when you want it quick.
