This is my first time raising chickens and it amazes me at how docile some of my hens can be! Beatrice will let me hold her and give her a little massage under her wings. She closes her eyes and eats it right up! You're not crazy! Enjoy the time you get to spend with your babies!!!
I got 7 hens and a Roo from my local Tractor Supply. They are all very good natured and my hens are great egg layers. This is my first experience raising chickens and so far I Love It!!!
My roo struts around and then does a fast, little shuffle... all while making a sort of "coo-ing" noise. I've gotta try to catch the dance on video! It's hilarious!!!
