This is Buster, the American bulldog with the first chickie from my son's Easter Egger. The rooster is a golden laced Polish. I can't wait to see how it grows. A big, fluffy beard and big, fluffy "hairdo" would be so awesome. I hope (oh please, oh please, oh please) it's a pullet.
The chickens were putting themselves to bed the other evening and as I was trying to sneak back the sock my son's EE stole to sleep on I looked up on the porch and saw this:
It seems to have become her nightly habit. She like to take a peek at the parakeets before going off to bed.
Hello! My family is semi-new to raising chickens (haven't had any since I was a little kid). We recently got a bunch of Crested Polish chicks, mixed varieties. There is one, however, that doesn't seem quite like the others. No little "poof" on top of the head, is growing just slightly larger...
