Well I'm sure there were some, but I didn't feel like facing down my broody today. Been trying to break her because i have, ahem, plenty of chicks right now. She's still trying though.
3/8/9 lost two girls to a 'possum this week. My other ladies are off their game. My two olive eggers too. My sweet girls. Found the hole in the barn and fixed it so fingers crossed. Had to explain to my daughter about "mother nature's tax".
When my barn needed repairs I started leaving the toolbox in obvious places. Then I pulled some materials from the shed and put them in the walkway to the barn next to the toolbox. He got the hint after only a week!! Lol.
Is it normal for EE's to lay way less this time of year? Non lighted coop as i give the girls a winter vacation, but i've only had 3 eggs in a whole week from two girls. I was getting a dozen from those two a week in nicer weather.
