    My mother said she saw all three of the babies practicing flying today with their parents-- and that the nest is now empty! It was such a gift to watch them grow up! I'll try to see if I can find them out there, get a picture of them out in the big world to finish this thread off!

    You’re so right!! It’s always a pleasure to see them. I’m so lucky she decided to nest in my yard, let alone my hibiscus I can actually see into!

    One more picture… that last one is from yesterday. It just finished raining here (the nest is covered by my house’s roof awning) and I stopped by to check on the babies. Look how sweet!

    Our second update! 💞 Saw their momma return with a big spider. I’m very happy to see she’s taking care of them so diligently!

    Update! All three babies have hatched healthy and safe! Sweet little things cuddling together… Two of them hatched yesterday, but I want to wait until all of them were hatched to show them off! After further research, I think they’re Northern mocking birds!

    There’s a little nest in my hibiscus... Look inside and you see...... Babas!!!!! Saw the momma recently, seems to be a scrub jay nest. Three little eggos! She did a good job! I’ll be checking on the nest every other day to see if some peeps have hatched. Once they have, I’ll try to take...
