Yep he’s a character, and actually he is adored by all the hens. They all want to be in his harem, the other two Roos are nice boys also, but they all just love Mr P. He’s a lovely boy, good with the chicks, and it’s hilarious watching him help build nests. Then the girls totally ignore that...
There are many breeders around with them and other bantams. I would say they should be fine with their fluffy feather coats. Maybe not if you have heavy snowfalls - but then any chook would have issues with heavy snowfalls.
My OEGB bantams were fine last winter, they did like to hang out under the Sweeter Heater and the IR heat lamps though. The wee hen I brought into my heated feedroom at night though.
