Thanks, I'm blushing. I've been hatching a ton of eggs... and eating a lot of chicken. I hatched more than 40 eggs from my Holtman birds in Oct/Nov last year. We only just got the last of the roos into the freezer last week. When you hatch that many, you're bound to get at least one...
Here is another pic of the Skipper that shows the extra barring on his butt and elsewhere. Do you think his tail carriage is too high? Sometimes I think it is, other times I don't.... Not that it matters, he's the biggest roo I've ever hatched, so he is going into the breeding program regardless.

Actually, Boy and Domino are brothers. Both sons of the late Tarzan, my biggest Braden roo.
I haven't sold too many Holtman eggs, I only had 2 hens. I've added 4 more girls, ( the best 4 girls out of the 20 or so I hatched, very pretty girls) so now I can sell some of those, too.
The Skipper is just 6 months old. His legs are a nice yellow color. The extra barring is on the feathers below his wings, towards the back, not exactly around the vent but in that general area. You can see a faint hint of it in the pic below the tip of his wing. Of course, the extra barring on...
Look at my new roo. I hatched him from my Holtman roo Little Buddy. I named him the Skipper.
Of the 20+ roos I hatched in October-November, he was the very best. He was 7.25lbs at 18 weeks! Even bigger than his daddy.
He has no bent toes, or split wing, but he does have an extra point or two...
My big Braden roo Tarzan just fell over dead today.
I had thrown them some scratch and was cleaning the water pan. When I looked up again, he was on the ground flopping around, dead. He didn't swallow anything, I checked.
I'm at a loss. He wasn't sick, acting normal. I guess he had a heart...
Watch out for Hughes Net. They will meter your service down if you use it too much. They won't actually admit it, but they do. If you go over your usage allowance, they meter you down for the next 2 days to 'make up for it' . Of course, they won't tell you that there is an actual usage...
Smith2, how far are you willing to drive?
I must have 50 chicks from 1-14 weeks old, and a full incubator. I'm gonna start selling the older pullets locally for layers. If any turn out exceptional, I'll keep them for breeding. The roo's, alas, will go into the freezer.

Mine aren't to bitey. They nibble a bit, looking for treats, but they don't bite real hard. The one pullet that I had that bit hard got sold to James.
They are nice and clean in their new feather right now. If the show at the end of the month where closer, I might take one or two, just to see...
Here are some of my youngsters from Bill Braden eggs. They are around 19 weeks or so. I'm expecting them to start laying anytime now.

Here are some of Buddy Buddy's kids.
Oh great, I get to babysit again.

Oh, shucks, weren't nuthin'. You're welcome to come over and call my birds beautiful anytime.
I need to post up picks of my Bill Braden birds. I have what I think is a particularly good roo (Tarzan) and several really good pullets. Tarzan is big, I think he is as big as Buddy Buddy (from...

Hi! Those are mine! The roo is from seriousbill eggs.
And the other cockerels are from my Bill Braden hatch. I haven't noticed the one guy's tail being too high. I'll take a closer look tomorrow.
Tacey, I'm glad the eggs arrived. I can't wait for news of the hatching.
This means that Priority mail to California took 2 days, while Express mail to Georgia took 3. It boggles the mind.
