    I have a one year old Heritage RIR rooster, I would like to trade for a pure Ameracauna rooster any color as long as it is not an EE. The HRIR is a nice bird but his tail is a little high for me. Ron

    If they are well feed and healthy (which they probably are) it may just be the amount of daylight. Length of day effects laying. Try adding 2-3 hours of artificial light in the morning. I use an inexpensive dial timer and a 40watt bulb when I want to stimulate pullets or hens to start laying...

    I bet we could get you fixed up! Just do what I do when my wife ask " Is that a new _____?" fill in blank. Respond " No honey, I just cleaned up my old one" With chickens you might have to tweak the response a little. BTW My bride never falls for it. But it is worth a try.
