    Not sure on eggs but as far as temperment, I've found that if they are true French BCM with the feathered feet, they are much more docile. I've had others tell me this as well.     Spot on the head says roo to me, from what I've learned. But at 4 weeks my Roo's had larger combs than that so I'm tied on this one. Here's my Cuckoo hen 4-5 weeks for comparison. Below him you can see the comb of a roo the same age, it's much larger.

    Hi! I'm a new Maran owner! I have 8 new babies. They are all pure french cuckoo marans. She said some are copper and some are black, I got them from a local breeder. Opinions? Roos, hens, healthy looking? I'm new at the fuzzy footed bird! But I love them!
