Yes, all pullets and we assumed they were amberlinks.

He's a handsome guy, Heronz. :) My chicks, which are the pics in the beginning of the thread, are definitely not sex linked males. Thanks to a tip through a private message, I ended up taking them off craigslist and hanging on for a while longer. They are all pullets. They're about 2 months old...

White leghorns are all white. Amberlinks get some brown on them. White plymouth rocks are all white. Red sex links seem to turn dark and light brown speckled. My older four are white plymouth rocks. I found that out when they started laying brown eggs. I thought they were leghorns up to that...

If it helps any, mine are definitely pullets. It seems they are amberlinks, which I'm assuming is a type of red pullet. 3 of them have varying amounts of brown feathers and 3 are all white. I would wait it out if I were you. I went ahead and got 6 more chicks when I thought I'd have to give up...

Thanks everyone. :) I just now put them on craigslist. I don't want to wait and get more attached to them when you are all saying they're boys (or most are boys). It's sad for me, but hoping they find a good home. I also picked up some new red sex linked chicks and this time they are all...

Thank you. I appreciate the help. I'm pretty upset by it. It has been a rough couple of weeks and this is just one more thing I don't need. Hopefully I can find someone to take them that's willing to lie to me and tell me that they'll live a long happy life. :P

They were in a bin of like 20 or so small yellow chicks labelled pullets. They only had one bin of pullets, the rest were straight run. Would they really have that many leftovers and mix them all into a pullet bin? I'm not trying to argue with you, just trying to figure this out. With my luck...

Here's 4 of the 6 chicks together. The two with brown feathers and two without. There's one more chick that has a single brown feather on her tail. I didn't get a good pic of that. All three can't possible be males after I got them out of the pullet bin, right? I hope not. I could possible...

Here's a better pic of the chick with the brown feathers. There's a bit of mess on the tips of the feathers, so just ignore that. ;) Another chick with just a little bit of brown feathers on the wings. It's the same on both wings. This one is rather aggressive and has gone after my...

Technically, we can have roosters, but my husband won't be happy. I didn't want fertalized eggs either. Hmm, something to think about. I grow rather attached to the chickies and of course that one is especially sweet.

Thank you. That does make me feel better. I think I wouldn't have worried so much if it wasn't the color of old blood. Plus I've only dealt with white chickens, so it's been a bit of a surprise seeing some color.

This could be a dumb question, but I figured it didn't hurt to ask. I got chicks at tractor supply just over 3 weeks ago. They looked just like my previous chicks so I assumed they were white plymouth rocks. They came from the pullet bin. Well one of the chicks has started developing a brown...
