I actually asked neighbours before thinking about guineas. They can compete with the roosters, geese, peacocks, other guineas, barking dogs and the odd neighbour, for who is noisiest.

It was fun to meet Canadian Wind. The sale was very busy so we didn't get much time for chatting. CW did help me out finding a rabbit for a friend's daughter. I managed to leave without buying anything for myself. Busy building a new coop and run for upcoming Guinea Fowl. They had better...

Welcome back Miss Lydia. Miss seeing your posts and helpful advice. If you think someone is dumping stuff, my suggestion is to start documenting - pics, descriptions, and dates. Have you got a field camera you could use?

Can't wait for the snow to be gone and the ground thawed enough to start my wattle-fence project. In the meantime, I am thinking of how I could put a gate in the fence.

Sounds like a dumped cat. Wish people wouldn't think it is ok to just discard their unwanted pets in the country. Some get killed and some lucky ones find Magnolia Ducks or other caring individuals.

I'm so sorry to hear your cat is unwell and you are reaching the point of having to make a decision. Never easy. I have 2 sibling cats now 17 years old. The male had stopped eating and was lethargic. Vet couldn't figure out why. After research, I believe he had a stroke and has another one...

Just joining this thread so catching up on the last few pages. Got lost on the wombat issue but thats ok. Read about bears and cars. Canadian problem is the moose. Huge animal, very long legs so if you hit one, especially in a small car it goes badly for both of you. Still in lockdown but...
